I turned professional in 1997, as an amateur I was an accomplished county golfer and a member of the Wales junior squad in 1994 & 1995. Prior to Joining the Downshire Golf Complex, Bracknell in 2005 I worked at Shrewsbury GC, Northop Country Park GC, Basingstoke Golf Centre, Alresford GC and Sandford Springs GC. I still compete and enjoy some successes as a player.

As a coach I have developed comprehensive knowledge of all areas of the game. I coach players of all abilities from a complete beginner taking their first steps in to the game, to single figure and scratch golfers looking to make the small gains to improve consistency and reach their full potential 

My focus will always be for you to understand your swing and how it works. I use launch monitor data and swing videos to measure and create this understanding, but golf lies much deeper than just a good swing. Building sound routines and mental rituals is a big part of making your game more consistent and reliable.

To assist me with your development I have a dedicated booking platform and communication site where I am always available, you will have your own login to book and arrange our sessions, also a “Homework” page where I will post all your lesson data, lesson notes and store your swing analysis videos.  This is an invaluable tool to help us reach your goals.

I am always keen to keep learning; I regularly attend professional development seminars and courses to enhance my knowledge and delivery of information.

Junior Golf is also a passion of mine, it’s very important to me to grow the game of golf and keep it going for generations to come. The junior academy is a grass roots centre and is open to all! I have great facilities to deliver to a wide range of abilities, most importantly I keep all sessions engaging and fun which is important to keep children enthused and to enjoy learning this great game.

We have established a very popular Junior academy programme at the Downshire golf complex, which includes academy lessons, competitions and our showpiece event The Junior Ryder Cup! The goal is to provide a clear pathway so all juniors can prosper and thrive at the club.
